New & Improved: Harmon Chang

Harmon Chang is a Partner at New & Improved, to where he lends his experience and expertise as trainer, facilitator and coach in the areas of creative thinking, innovation, Creative Problem Solving (CPS) and collaboration in Chinese and Asian context and culture. He is also the founder of Collaborative Genius Consulting in Hsinchu City, Taiwan.

Some of the organizations to benefit from his training and facilitation include: TYCO Electronics, ZyXEL Communications, Chunghwa Telecom, Sanyang Industry, LIULIGONGFANG, HIWIN Technology, Chilin Technology, Productivity Architect Co. Ltd., Taiwan Textile Research Institute, and Industrial Technology Research Institute.

With the master degree in computer science of Northwestern University, Harmon started his career as a software engineer. After that, he worked in various fields of system analysis, project management, and marketing in several large scale organizations. He is one of the first few people from Taiwan going to the United States for the Creative Problem Solving and facilitation training. Harmon worked for the Creativity Lab of Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan for years, which is one of the first and the best research labs of creativity and innovation in Greater China area. He worked there as a researcher, trainer and facilitator.

Harmon is also a certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Trainer and Master Practitioner, as well as a certified administrator of MBTI (Myers-Brigg Type Indicator). He always tries to apply knowledge, expertise and experience from these areas to his work in creativity and innovation to achieve synergy.

When Harmon is not working, he can be found in a theater seeing a movie, reading, learning through voluntary service, travelling, and doing Pilates.
