Doug is a Partner at New & Improved where his work focuses on organizational learning and improvement through the fostering of creativity, innovation, and collaboration. He draws on his extensive business experience to help organizations and individuals throughout the US & Europe improve in the areas of leadership, communication and team building.
Organizations who have benefited from Doug’s training and facilitation include: Cadbury–Adams, Lucent Technologies, Honeywell, Johnson & Johnson, Acterna, Bull Information Systems, National Indemnity Insurance, Motorola, and Research International, among others.
Doug enjoyed a 15–year career with a large multinational information systems business where he served as an Organizational Development consultant, manager of training and Human Resources specialist. He was a Montessori educator and teacher trainer for eight years, and he has also served as a volunteer leader, training leaders and facilitators for the Creative Problem Solving Institute since 1983.
Doug holds a B.S. in Interpersonal Communication, a M.S. in Creativity and Innovation and is a certified user of the Kirton–Adaption Innovation Inventory, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, SYMLOG, and Adventure–based learning.
When relaxing, Doug can be found cooking in his kitchen (he loves it!) in Phoenix, AZ, being a dad, doing power yoga, and traveling.
